Design Week Awards 2023 entry extended until 19 April

We’ve decided to open up entries to the Design Week Awards 2023 for one more week because of high demand for last-minute submissions. If you missed out on the deadline of 5 April, we are happy to announce that you can now log in and submit entries before midnight on 19 April, 2023.

After that, our independent panel of around 50 judges will begin the judging process. As ever, this year’s judges – including Collins vice president Astrid Stavro and Universal Design Studio director Paul Gulati – have been picked for their expertise and experience, and are placed into groups to ensure every category is judged by the right designers.

We’re committed to adapting the Design Week Awards to ensure they represent the areas and practices important to the design industry today, refining the award categories spanning communications, digital, product and furniture, and spaces.

Although sustainability is of vital importance across categories, our Design Climate Action: Designing Sustainably award specifically recognises the projects making a difference to the health of the planet.

Changes to our Product and Furniture group include an expansion to include lighting design, and separate categories for Industrial and Consumer Product Design.

We continue to develop the wide range of Communications categories to reflect the excellent work we receive in this category group, while digital categories continue to expand to reflect the growth in this sector too. You can find the full list of our categories here.

In June, our Winners’ Showcase will feature write-ups of all the shortlisted and winning projects, as well as interviews with our Best of Show and Hall of Fame winners. This year, we look forward to sharing the Showcase with our largest ever audience of more than 900,000 readers of the site, social followers and newsletter subscribers.

Each winner will also receive a Design Week Awards lightbulb trophy.
