Design Week Awards 2023 opens for entries
Take a look at which of this year’s categories could be right for your best work and find out how we will be celebrating design excellence this year.
Every year the Design Week Awards evolves to reflect the changing nature of designers’ work, adapting so that we can focus on what’s important to you and your clients.
In recent years more designers across the board have been encouraging clients to embrace a sustainable approach to projects so that it becomes standard in many briefs. While we welcome projects that put people and the planet first in all categories, we also have the Design Climate Action: Designing Sustainably category that celebrates particularly innovative design work, which is making a tangible difference to the health of the planet by embracing progressive principles such as regenerative design.
We’re proud of the high standard of work that we get in the Communications group and are looking forward to celebrating more of it this year. The full range of modern branding work is represented as you’ll see when you browse the categories.
The Digital group covers everything from Interaction Design to TV, Film and Video Graphics and has been readjusted in recent years to offer a relevant category for any digital project.
Our Product and Furniture group sees Consumer and Industrial Product Design represented as distinct categories and this year we’re adjusting the furniture category so that it also includes lighting.
In the Spaces section you’ll find Exhibition Design, Workplace Interiors, Retail Design and more. There’s a home for every type of spatial design.
We’re expecting a panel of around 50 expert judges, each selected and placed into groups based on their expertise. This ensures that we’ve got the right designers looking at your work, whichever categories you choose.
In June our dedicated winners’ showcase will appear on Design Week to help readers explore and understand the winning projects, which we will amplify to our global audience of over 900,000 across the site, to social media followers and to newsletter subscribers.
