Four Corners – design from the African diaspora
Design Week columnist Jon Daniel is set to host a talk at the Victoria & Albert Museum looking at design and designers from the African diaspora.
In his regular Four Corners column, Daniel profiles a designer from around the world.
Among those he has interviewed are US industrial designer Chuck Harrison, former Black Panther Minister of Culture Emory Douglas and Zimbabwean graphic designer Saki Mafundikwa.
In his V&A lecture, Daniel will showcase selected work from Africa, the Caribbean, Europe and the US.
His talk is part of a series of lectures based on art and existence in the African and Asian diasporas.
Four Corners: Designers from the African Diaspora, takes place on Thursday 22 January from 14.30-16.00pm at the V&A, Cromwell Road, London SW7.
