CAREFUL QUALITY CONTROL
Our manufactory is the home of tightly guarded secrets that make Wellendorff jewellery so unique and inimitable. All items of jewellery are subject to strict quality controls before they leave the manufactory. The "Diamond W", our symbol of Genuine Values, guarantees a level of quality that ensures you will be able to enjoy your jewellery for a lifetime.
Made in Germany
Each individual item of jewellery is made in Pforzheim. Starting with the alloy process, everything comes into existence under one roof. Only specialists who also have spent two years training at the Wellendorff Academy are employed here. In accordance with a highly protected family formula, the special Wellendorff gold alloy in 18-karat white or yellow gold is made from fine gold granules, silver, copper and palladium.
THE GOLD
The goldsmith's work starts with the smelting of the gold. The ratio of the granules is what makes the unmistakable warm Wellendorff gold hue. Rolling, bending and annealing are some of the many necessary steps to turn a solid rod of gold into a gently stretched ring shape.
THE ARRIVAL OF THE ROPE
In 1977, Hanspeter Wellendorff managed to create the first Wellendorff Rope and with that came the birth of this unique piece of jewellery, which has since become a classic – woven from the finest 18-karat gold threads, soft and gentle, while being of lasting beauty.

The magic Wellendorff Ring
Each Wellendorff ring comprises several individual parts made from 18-karat gold and shock-resistant Wellendorff-cold enamel, and spins within itself. To create this spinning feature, precision to the nearest hundredth of a millimetre is needed.
