With THANK YOU FOR Endless Ocean, the Wellendorff jewellery manufactory has accomplished an astonishing technical feat: an incredibly slender and delicate solitaire ring that spins smoothly. At first, it seemed impossible to combine something that should not spin ‒ the solitaire ‒ with something that should – the Wellendorff spinning ring. After 16 years of development, Wellendorff successfully overcame this apparent paradox with the THANK YOU FOR ring: the solitaire and block ring are positioned as close as possible and yet the ring spins easily. Such a degree of precision is a technical revolution, for which Wellendorff has been awarded a patent.

With each spin of the inner ring, the THANK YOU FOR Endless Ocean solitaire ring transforms into the tossing waves of the ocean – dynamic, wild and free. Sparkling diamonds flow around the wearer’s finger while small mosaics in five shades of blue remind her that after every dark storm on the high seas comes a calm, sunny day where the water glitters peacefully in light shades of blue.
The highly polished base layer in the colourful cold-enamel planes reflects light like a crystal, allowing the ring’s vibrant colours to shine from within. This requires the highest precision and perfection as the edges of each mosaic measure just 1.5 mm.
