Wellendorff connoisseurs have long wished for us to integrate the cold enamel colours of a Wellendorff ring into the “softest necklace” in the world. The challenge for the Wellendorff goldsmiths was to apply the colours to the whole piece of jewellery without losing the softness of the Wellendorff rope. Only after a long and intense development period did they find the perfect solution: 103 tiny and closely-set 18-karat gold cubes filled with cold enamel. With its slightly tapered shape, the GOLDEN RAINBOW necklace nestles perfectly around the wearer’s neck.
The highest quality goldsmithing
Using a 0.2 mm thin diamond stylus, 144 light-reflecting decorations are engraved into the highly polished base layer of each individual cube, allowing the colours of the necklace to shine from within. A total of 14,832 reflective decorations create unbeatable dazzling colours in just one necklace. An additional 32 hand-set diamonds perfectly complement the coloured squares, providing extra sparkle. To produce the elaborate GOLDEN RAINBOW necklace, the highest precision, perfection and cutting-edge technology are required as the edges of each mosaic measure just 2.3 mm. With its colourful appearance, the GOLDEN RAINBOW necklace adapts perfectly to its surroundings and goes with anything – black, white and all the colours of the rainbow.
